Malaysian F1 GP 2016 Lewis Hamilton Engine Failure with Fire Spewing Out The Exhaust It was a huge disappointment for Lewis Hamilton when his engine suddenly failed and spewed flames out the exhaust. Even worse is when he's taking the lead comfortably with about half a minute of lead time ahead of the 2nd position. You can see the disappointment and disbelief through his actions.
