How to get to 남이섬 Namiseom / Nami Island from Seoul City Center by Subway

Straight to the point, head to 'Gapyeong' subway station on the G Line (Gyeongchun Line), heading towards 'Chuncheon' (last station on the G Line). Estimated time is 102minutes from Yeongdeungpo station ('Yeongdeungpo' station is the station closest to Seoul Times Square and also Courtyard Marriott Seoul Times Square). When you exit Gapyeong station there are public buses that would bring you directly to the pier where you either board a ferry or take the zipwire ride to Namiseom. There is also a bus where you pay for a day ticket where you can stop at various location, end-to-end stops are Nami Island and Garden of Morning Calm. Or you could just take a taxi if you don't like waiting for buses, which costs KRW 3500, the last time i went in October 2015.

If you're travelling around Seoul mainly by subway, there are many phone applications that can be useful in showing you which is the best subway routes according to your preference. The app that I relied on was 'Korea, Seoul Metro Navi', yes that's the app's name. It provides you with travel time and lists out every station in between from station to station so that you know you're on the right track. You may also set preferences such as, minimum travel time, shortest distance and minimum transfers. There are also a lot more features which you can explore on your own. Best thing is it's possible to search a station's name in English but the drawback is you have to spell the station names correctly. Below is some screenshots of the app.
